Polarization properties of Raman scattering by surface phonon polaritons in GaAsP nanowires

Strong resonant enhancement of Raman scattering on photonic resonance was observed in GaAsP semiconductor nanowires. The allowed for detailed studies the surface phonon polariton (SPhP) peak individual In particular, first time, effect nanowire cross section shape SPhP properties has been investigated. It found that flattening induces a strong polarisation and spectral shift SPhPs supported by such nanowire. assisting numerical simulations to link induced splitting HE11 mode flattened also theoretically reproduced elliptical approximation section. obtained results pave ground engineering response accurate control applications utilising morphology.
